Japanese YouTuber Loses Over 150 Pounds in Inspiring Transformation

September 8, 2020 by Japan and Extra

A man in Japan is receiving a lot of attention after he lost almost 70 kilograms (154 pounds) of body weight in a year.
apanese YouTuber Ruibosu, who stands at 170 centimeters (5 feet 6 inches) tall, was at his heaviest point at 140 kilograms (308 pounds) before he went through the transformation, according to SoraNews24.

Ruibosu decided to go on a “final diet of his life” and document his weight loss journey when he began in September 2019.
The Japanese YouTuber admitted that he had a hard time doing the exercises when he started his program.
However, he stuck to his routine of jump rope, sit-ups and planking, which showed tremendous results when his weight dropped from 137 kilograms (302 pounds) to 108 kilograms (238 pounds) in three months.

Rain or shine, Ruibosu pressed on with his routine as this was “the pledge he made to himself.”

The YouTuber also incorporated other exercises, including weight lifting and kickboxing.

Although he managed to hit his target weight loss goal of 5 kilograms (11 pounds), Ruibosu admitted he encountered struggles along the way, specifically with his diet.

Speaking to one of his Twitter followers, Ruibosu said “I found it hard to control my appetite” and “it was tough, especially for the first two months,” AsiaOne reported.
All of his hard work paid off. By the 11th month, Ruibosu shredded exactly half of his body weight when he started his journey.
He now weighs 68.5 kilograms (151 pounds) and his body fat percentage also saw a massive decrease from 42.9% to 18.6%.

His face also changed quite a bit, noting that his jawline became much more defined and sharper.
Ruibosu aims to continue this new lifestyle of weight training and eating healthy for the rest of his life.
