A Japanese Twitter user stunned the internet after showing the results of his Tabata workout training.

The man, who goes by the handle, claims he was able to shed 13 kilograms (28.6 pounds) and 18.2% of his body fat using only the training method, according to The Star.

The before and after pictures he posted on August 25 shows his incredible transformation.

Tabata was invented by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo, Japan in 1996.

The workout is a short, but intense repetitive routine that only lasts for four minutes for each form of exercise. It involves 20 seconds of hard continuous workout followed by 10 seconds of breaks in-between for eight sets.

Hiragi claims he went from 72 kilograms (158.7 pounds) to 59 kilograms (130 pounds) by only doing burpees, also known as squat thrust.
