Japan Man With 4 Wives, 2 Girlfriends and No Job Aims To Father 54 Children, Become ‘God of Marriage’

Imagine a man who wants to be the “God of Marriage” – and he’s on a mission to father 54 children! Meet Ryuta Watanabe, a 36-year-old from Hokkaido, Japan, who lives a life most people can only dream of (or maybe find totally wild!). He has four wives, two girlfriends, and already 10 kids – and he’s not stopping there!

But here’s the twist: Watanabe hasn’t worked in 10 years. Instead, he relies entirely on the salaries of his wives and girlfriends to support his growing family. That’s right – he’s a full-time househusband, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the kids while his partners bring home the bacon.

His wives aren’t legally married to him, but they’re recognized as common-law partners because they’ve lived together for years and share responsibilities like a traditional family. Watanabe currently lives with three of his wives and two of his children, and the whole family splits the monthly expenses of nearly 914,000 yen (about $6,000).

Watanabe’s wives are common-law partners, meaning they’re not legally married but live together like a family. He currently lives with three of his wives and two of his children, while his fourth wife is estranged. He also met two of his girlfriends through social media.

But how does he manage it all? Watanabe says he rotates sleeping with different wives each night and claims to have sex more than 28 times a week! He insists there’s no jealousy among his partners – in fact, they get along like friends.

Watanabe’s goal is to break the record for the most children fathered in Japan. The current record is held by Tokugawa Ienari, a shogun who fathered 53 children with 27 concubines in the 1800s. Watanabe wants to top that with 54 kids, ensuring his name goes down in history.

While polygamy is illegal in Japan, Watanabe’s unconventional lifestyle has sparked a mix of shock, criticism, and even admiration online. Some say his children won’t have a close relationship with him, while others respect his family’s choices.

Love it or hate it, Watanabe’s story is one for the books. Will he achieve his dream of becoming the “God of Marriage”? Only time will tell!
