Japanese Actress Joined the AV Industry After Going Broke During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Renowned Japanese porn actress Nanase Alice revealed that financial struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic led her to join the adult industry. At the time, she had only ¥20,000 — just over S$170 — left in her bank account.

A Very Direct & Honest Response

An expert in the adult industry described her answer as one of the most straightforward responses he had ever received in his years of interviewing adult video (AV) actresses.

In the interview, Nanase Alice admitted that she found herself in a tough situation when work became hard to find during the pandemic. With her savings running low, she struggled to make ends meet and ultimately felt she had no choice but to enter the AV industry.

The 27-year-old faced many challenges early in her career, including changing agencies multiple times and being dropped by one. Despite these setbacks, she has already worked with three of Japan’s major AV film producers.
