As the weather gets warmer, Tokyoites head to the outdoors to enjoy many of the most exciting ways to spend time in the city. These include strolling through Tokyo’s gorgeous parks, admiring a Japanese landscape, spotting public artworks, and dining on top of these breathtaking rooftop bars and restaurants. It’s a beautiful moment to be outside ahead of the arrival of summer’s scorching heat. So, grab a drink, take in the stunning city skyline, and raise your glass to Tokyo’s breathtaking views.

Ce La Vi

While Tokyo’s Ce La Vi might not as popular as the Marina Bay Sands, it’s still a great luxury rooftop bar in Japan. Still, it does offer a great perspective of the famous Shibuya Scramble. The multi-talented bar spans two floors of the rooftop of Shibuya Fukuras, as well as the rooftop bar, restaurant, and club.

The 17th floor is where you’ll find the cafe and Bar Bao, owned by Ce La Vi, and the outdoor Ce La Vi Club Lounge, which features a DJ booth. If you go up a floor, there’s a Sky Deck and Restaurant and Sky Bar for a fancy dining experience with an amazing view. Both levels have outdoor seating and cozy lounges, making them the ideal place to relax during the warmer season.

Rooftop Bar located at Andaz Tokyo

With uninterrupted views that extend all the way to Tokyo Bay, the Andaz Tokyo rooftop bar is situated at the highest (52nd) level of Toranomon Hills and is a fantastic late-night spot. Teas and seasonal fruits form the base of the cocktails served here. Other drinks include domestic beer Nihonshu, champagne, and wine.

The terrace has just been awarded its first star in Michelin Guide 2022. Be aware that the deck will be open only between April and October.

‘The Roof’ Bar In Shibuya Sky Tree

The Roof has become an instant hit after its debut on the top of the famous Shibuya Scramble Square. It provides a fantastic 360-degree view of the stunning skyline of Tokyo. If you get lucky with the weather, you can gaze at Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, and the spectacular Mt. Fuji, all from one bar.

There’s no better spot to indulge in an enjoyable meal of Mexican food than on the roof. The rooftop terrace of Hacienda Del Cielo’s ninth floor is ideal for a dinner of freshly-cooked Guacamole and spicy fajitas followed by hot chili-infused Cajun martinis. The interior is equally impressive with the lounge-style furniture, the high ceilings, and an opulent chandelier modeled after Kukulkan distinguish it from the rest.

A comfortable bar and café situated on the top of a well-worn structure located next to Sangenjaya Station, A-Bridge charms with an anti-commercial vibe that is fitting for its location right next to the izakaya jumble and bars of a smaller size that makeup Sankaku, the local yokocho. Chitai. Enjoy the sunset in the evening and then stick there to enjoy a DJ set or the occasional indie show.
