Japanese elderly man tries to kill convenience store owner for a cup of coffee!

A 60-year-old Japanese man from ota city, in the province of Gunma, was arrested by the police for trying to kill a convenience store owner on the morning of October 25th.

What triggered the attempted murder was a simple cup of coffee! This is certainly a story that goes against the image that many people have of the Japanese. They may not be as patient as you might think.

And even the streets of Japan don’t seem to be as safe as you might think. After all, anywhere in the world, no matter how safe, it is possible to have disagreements and someone end up acting the wrong way and trying to attack the other.

So don’t bother an old Japanese man if you don’t want to put your life at risk.

Check out how this story unfolded until the man’s arrest.

The Japanese old man and the coffee cup

According to the police report, the man paid for a black coffee at the store in Ota City, but when he went to the coffee machine to serve himself the coffee, as is the way to make this type of purchase in a store of convenience, the owner found that the customer had pressed the “latte” button instead of the “black coffee” button, effectively pouring himself a cup of coffee more expensive than he had paid for.

When confronted by the owner, the customer said he needed to use the restroom, but instead tried to flee in his car, which was parked in the parking lot outside the store. The owner followed the man to the parking lot, where he clung to the vehicle’s windshield wipers in an attempt to stop the man from leaving.

The man, however, left with the owner still clinging to the windshield wipers, dragging him along a road for several hundred meters until the owner fell out of the car. The owner hit his head hard during the fall and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

In the following video you can get a sense of how this terrible crime happened. Despite the report being in Japanese, it is possible to have a good idea of how the crime happened.

As the customer fled the scene in his vehicle, he was later arrested based on security camera footage. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of theft and attempted murder, however, he denies the charges.

Now he will have to face Japanese justice and pay for his actions.

In the meantime, here’s a hint that maybe not all Japanese seniors are as nice as you might think. A Japanese grandpa might be unhappy and not be as friendly as you’d expect. The best thing is not to displease them!
