Teaser for the Two Films Shared

Along with the announcement, the official Twitter account of Haikyu!! also shared the teaser of the two-part finale. The teaser gives a glimpse of the finale’s story and shows multiple panels from Furudata’s manga, including some from the post-time skip story arc. The footage also features snippets of voiceovers from the characters in the series.

The announcement video has also revealed a ‘kick-off event’ that is scheduled for August 2023, but the exact dates are not yet announced. While some fans are excited about the franchise being turned into movies, others are disappointed that the beloved series is coming to an end.

Some are also worried that many important plot points from the manga will be missed in the films since there are still 110 chapters left to be covered in the anime, and each film will have to be at least 5 to 6 hours long to cover them all.
