Ash Ketchum of Pokemon has Won the World Championship

The main character of the Pokemon anime series, Ash Ketchum, has triumphed at the Pokemon World Championship. More than 25 years after the first episode of the show aired, fans have expressed their joy at the character being the strongest Pokemon trainer in the world.

Almost 200,000 people have liked a post from the official Pokemon Twitter account that congratulated Ash. It all started as a video game, and now there have been more than 1,200 episodes of this series.

Since Ash Ketchum first saw the electric mouse species Pikachu on his 10th birthday in 1997, the anime has followed his journey to becoming a Pokemon Master. For the past quarter-century, his fans have watched him hone his skills in an effort to make him the most formidable Pokemon trainer ever.

Throughout the series, trainers capture fantastical creatures known as pocket monsters and pit them against one another in epic battles. The original Japanese Game Boy game inspired not only an animated TV series, but also a trading card game, over twenty films, and an abundance of merchandising, from pogs (collectible cardboard discs) to plush toys.

To earn his way into the Pokemon League, Ash spends most episodes of the anime traveling to different fictional areas to capture Pokemon and battle for eight gym badges.

However, the newer Pokemon series, Pokemon Ultimate Journeys, has changed things up by having Ash visit other parts of the world rather than being in one place the whole time. As fans know, Ash has already triumphed in two competitions, the Orange League from the Orange Islands season and the Alola League from Pokemon Sun and Moon.

The formidable trainer Ash faced during his travels were obstacles he had to overcome on the way to the World Championship. Over the course of four episodes, Ash faced off against Leon, a previous world champion and eventual opponent.

Fans’ favorite characters including Brock, Misty, and Dawn, who had previously appeared in earlier seasons but had since retired, made a comeback. In the American dub of the anime, Sarah Natochenny, who voices Ash, tweeted: “YESSSS!!! Unlike everyone else, our son is the best there has ever been.”

whereas many of the show’s adult viewers remarked that they were “emotional” after seeing the conclusion. Ash and Pikachu’s participation in the next season of the anime remains in question.

It has become customary for the release of new Pokemon video games to coincide with the premiere of a new season of the anime. On November 18th, you may get the newest Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet.
